Last month, I got my first Iphone and it’s very cool. The first thing that I did with it was to find music apps for it. Thought I would share some of those apps with you. These are my favorite Music apps. First app, I would have to say Guitar Tab. This app is awesome! It allows you to search for guitar tabs and chords of your favorite music..over 300,000 songs in the database. Another apps that I really like is called SoundHound.  It allows you to identify the name you of the song that you don’t know. You sing a song   into this app and it will search for the name of the song for you.  Check out these apps. Let me know what you think.

Many years ago I was living in Minneapolis Minnesota. I had a chance to work with the Lao Community Service Center. While there I was able to collect some awesome khene instrumental solos from various people. Thought I would share it with our Lao Music Community. Let me know how you guys like it.

Also,  just a quick reminder of Bird’s  concert in Los Angeles. It’s this weekend I’m very excited about this. More information at Birdinusa.com. Hop over there and check it out when you get a chance.

Wow! The Fresno Lao New Year was awesome! The music was great as well. Many bands came to jam at the party including Pa Ya Nak from San Diego, Sam from Laos, Noumputhai from Fresno and many others. I got a chance to play in a live band and that was awesome. Playing in a live band is much funner than a one man band. When you play with someone that is good your skill improve as well. This year if you want to improve your playing skill I would suggest finding a mentor. That way you will feel more responsible toward yourself and your mentor during your practice. Take them out for a drink and ask them to be your mentor.
